Saturday, the first Civics Bee in the area will be held at Allegany College. The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce received essay entries from students in Western Maryland and 5 students will compete in the Bee. Judges are Councilwoman Lauri Marchini, Elizabeth Stahlman from the City of Frostburg, and John Taube from Allegany County libraries. The event starts at 10am Saturday in the Zimmer Theatre at Allegany College of Maryland.
