Ruth Davis-Rogers, Historic Planner for the City of Cumberland, is encouraging citizens to attend a meeting with consultants of the Lakota Group scheduled for 6:30pm this Wednesday at City Hall. The group has been chosen by the City to develop a new Historic Preservation Plan to serve as a guide for preservation and revitalization of historic areas and also integrate with city planning, economic development and heritage tourism and housing. Davis-Rogers says it is crucial to have citizen and property-owner input for the plan to succeed.
