On Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at approximately 9:40 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Frederick Street regarding a male subject pointing a firearm at oncoming traffic. An officer observed the described male walking on Frederick Street pointing an object which appeared to be a handgun. The subject was identified as Christopher Maistros. Officers ordered Maistors to stop and put his hands in the air to which he complied. After further investigation, no handgun was located. The object that Maistros had been pointing was determined to be a flashlight. Maistros was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the police station. He was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial at the District Court of Allegany County.
