Cumberland city police officers were busy throughout the city Saturday with numerous arrests. Police arrested 21 year old Rachael Erin Twigg on Bedford Street. Twigg was charged with trespassing and disturbing the peace. A traffic stop on Henderson Avenue resulted in two drug arrests. Alisa Platt, 18, and Lauren Colmer, 24, both of Cumberland, were charged with possession of CDS marijuana. City police served two arrest warrants on Timothy Lee Hairston, 32, of Cumberland. Hairston was wanted for assault and violation of probation.

Cumberland city police served an arrest warrant on a city man for burglary and trespassing earlier this month. The incident took place on East Second Street. Jeremy Shurak, 33, was charged with second degree assault, fourth degree burglary, trespassing, and harassment.
City police were called to a Browning Street residence Saturday morning for a reported disturbance. Two city residents were arrested. Thirty seven year old Rodney Ross was charged with disturbing the peace and failure to obey a lawful order. Norman Cromwell, 31, was charged with disturbing the peace.
On Saturday evening city police were called to a Charles Street residence for a reported assault. Leonard Britton, 20, of Cumberland, was charged with second degree assault, disorderly conduct, fourth degree burglary, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.
