On July 23, 2018 at 4:06 pm, the Cumberland Police responded to a business on Greene St. for a theft complaint. Upon arrival officers were shown video evidence of the theft and identified Michael Caswell, age 31, of Cumberland as the suspect. After a brief search of the area, Caswell was located along with the stolen property. Caswell was arrested and taken to the Cumberland Police Department. He was then issued a Criminal Citation for Theft Under $100 and released pending trial in District Court.
Criminal Summons Served
The Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Daniel Bohrer, age 43, of Cumberland, MD. The Summons was the result of an Assault that occurred on April 14, 2018. Bohrer was served with the Criminal Summons charging him with Assault 2nd Degree, and released pending trail in District Court.

On July 1, 2018, at 5:07 pm, an officer was in a Virginia Ave. business and observed a subject later identified as Christopher Binnix, age 32, of Cumberland, MD put items under his shirt. Binnix then exited the store without paying and was approached by the officer. All items were recovered and Binnix was placed under arrest. Binnix was then taken to the Cumberland Police Department where he was issued a Criminal Citation for Theft under $100 and released pending trial.
Criminal Summons Served
The Cumberland Police Served a Criminal Summons on April Hartman, age 24, of Cumberland, MD. The Criminal Summons charged Hartman with the misuse of a telephone- repeat calls. Hartman was served with the Criminal Summons and released pending trial in District Court.
