On Monday, November 25, 2019, the Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Angel Panea, age 52, of Cumberland, Maryland. The Summons stemmed from a November 23, 2019, incident where the Cumberland Police were dispatched to Ridgeway Terrace for an assault. Following the police investigation, all parties involved were referred to District Court for charges. Subsequently, one of the victims from the assault applied for charges in District Court and a Summons was issued charging Panea with assault 2nd degree, disturbing the peace, and disorderly conduct. Panea was served with the Criminal Summons and released pending trial in District Court.
On Monday, November 25, 2019, the Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on Michael Bergman, age 56, of Cumberland, Maryland. The Summons stemmed from a disturbance complaint made to the Cumberland Police on November 24, 2019. During the investigation into the disturbance, officers discovered that there had been numerous disturbance complaints involving Bergman. Subsequently, officers applied for charges on Bergman, and a Criminal Summons was issued charging Bergman with disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order. Bergman was served with the Summons and released pending trial in District Court.

Officers from the Cumberland Police Department served two criminal summonses on David Martin Boyd. Boyd had been charged in connection with an assault which occurred on August 16th at the Gazebo located on Bridge Street in Cumberland. Boyd was also charged in connection with an August 17th incident where he violated a peace order while on Baltimore Street in Cumberland. Boyd was issued both summonses and will appear in District Court at a later date.

Officers from the Cumberland Police Department arrested Chad Wayne Brode for failing to appear for court. Brode had been charged for motor vehicle related charges but failed to appear for his court hearing. Brode was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released pending trial.
