On April 19, 2019 at 6:00 pm, officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Weber Street for a domestic assault complaint. When officers arrived they found that an argument had occurred between Ashley Kasekamp, age 31 of Cumberland, and the victim. The argument then escalated and the victim was assaulted by Kasekamp. Subsequently, Kasekamp was arrested and charged with second degree assault. She was later taken for her Initial Appearance and released on her own recognizance pending trial in District Court.

On February 19, Cumberland City Police Department served an arrest warrant on Carinthia Diane Carr, age 23 of Cumberland, Maryland. On February 18, 2015 officers responded to 307 Grand Avenue for an assault complaint. During an investigation into the matter officers learned that Mrs. Carr was not wanted inside the Grand Avenue residence. During an argument with the tenants, Mrs. Carr began to push and assault the male tenant. As the male tenant was attempting to shut the door, Mrs. Carr kicked the door open, entered the residence and continued to assault the male tenant. Mrs. Carr left the area prior to the police arriving. As a result of this investigation officers filed an application for charges against Mrs. Carr at District Court. A warrant was issued for Mrs. Carr’s arrest. Mrs. Carr was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Mrs. Carr was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $4,000 bond.

Charges: Breaking and Entering 2nd, 3rd and 4th Degree, 2nd Degree Assault.
