City Woman Held After Alleged Knife Threats

On September 11th, 2021, The Cumberland City Police responded to a Bellevue Street residence for the report of an assault involving a knife. Upon arrival, Officers contacted multiple victims and witnesses to the incident. Officers learned that a disturbance began inside the residence between two subjects, including Ashley Regina Kline, 34, of Cumberland MD. During the argument, it was reported that Kline armed herself with a knife and began to chase other subjects inside the home, threatening to cause them bodily harm. As a result of the investigation, Kline was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. While at Police Headquarters, Kline continues her aggressive behaviors and assaulted three officers while in custody. Kline was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.
