Issues of vagrancy continue to plague the George Washington Headquarters and Canal Place areas. At the November meeting of the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority, a letter from Nicky Shields, Business Director for the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad requested that access to the Wills Creek pedestrian bridge be blocked during the run times for the Polar Express by installing orange barrier fencing. Executive Director Dee Dee Ritchie does not think that will be a good enough solution to the issue…
Ritchie said that some of the problem may be due to the railroad inventory stored in front of the train station….
