On Sunday, March, 5, 2023 at approximately 6:53 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 800 block of Columbia Avenue for a disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the parties involved. One of the residents reported that Charles Doonis grabbed him by the neck. Officers observed injuries to the victim consistent with his statements. After further investigation, Doonis was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance.
