Washington County has announced the location of a leading health, beauty, and kitchen appliance manufacturer. Conair LLC will be located on Downsville Pike in a 2.1 million square foot distribution center soon to be built. It is believed to become the largest single distribution center in the state. Approximately 700 new jobs will be created in the next 10 years. Conair’s expansion into Maryland is being assisted by a loan through Advantage Maryland as well as a loan from Washington County. Conair’s location gives it access to major consumer markets, several highways and ground and freight hubs, according to State Commerce Secretary Kevin Anderson.
