Fresh off a narrow win last week, Maryland Sixth District Congressman David Trone says he is now poised to get to work and continue to advance the president’s agenda. Trone, whose District includes Allegany, Garrett and Washington counties, edged Republican Neil Parrott 52 -48%. While Democrats far exceeded expected performance last week- fighting off a projected “red wave”- there is much work to be done, including selecting party leaders moving forward. A strong backer of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Congressman Trone told CNN that whether or not she continues to lead the party is a decision that she alone will make in the coming weeks…
With President Biden turning 79 this weekend, there is a faction of the party that would prefer a younger candidate for the White House in 2024. Trone admits that age is a concern, but he is confident Biden has assembled a strong cabinet and is up to the job…
