Allegany County government is partnering with Port River West to encourage development on the site of the former Westvaco paper mill in Luke. Port River West is a company made up of Bill Miller Equipment and Firestone Renovations. They are investing two million dollars to continue demolition of the mill and market the property, according to County Administrator Jason Bennett…

   

“We will share any future revenues 50/50 with them. So, if we get a lease, we’ll share it 50/50, if we sell a piece, we’ll split it 50/50. If they bring the entity to us they will get a 60/40 share. This is going to be a 30-year agreement. You can see a lot of the mill is already down.”
