CPD Serves Bench Warrant & Criminal Summons

The Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Ethan Blaine McRobie after he failed to appear in District Court.  McRobie was arrested after he was located by officers during a traffic stop on Industrial Boulevard.  McRobie was taken into custody without incident. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released pending trial.

Criminal Summons was served on Seth Ronald Larue for theft.  The summons was issued after the victim filed for charges at District Court.  Once the summons was served by officers a District Court trial date will be assigned.

On Thursday, March 22, 2018, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on James Braunschweiger.  The warrant was issued as a result of Braunschweiger failing to follow the conditions of his probation.  He was originally charged with driving on a suspended license.  On today’s date at approx. 1:38 AM, Braunschweiger was located as a result of a traffic stop on Maryland Avenue.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the police station.  He was served with the warrant and taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $457.50 bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONSES SERVED

 

On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the Cumberland Police Department served criminal summonses on Damian Legeer and Katherine Legeer.  The summonses were issued in connection with an investigation that was initiated on March 19, 2018 when the victim reported that her water fountain had been stolen from her property.  The fountain was valued at $200.  Police located the fountain at a residence on W. First Street.  After investigation, police filed applications for charges against the suspects, Damian Legeer and Katherine Legeer.  They were released pending trial after being served.
