Local food banks will benefit from funds raised through the annual CROP Walk scheduled for Saturday on the GAP Trail. Sandy Cowan, local coordinator for CROP – which stands for Christians Relating to Other People – says funds will support May’s flood victims with help for the upcoming holidays…

   

“We’re even doing boxes and that for all the families up there who need it for Thanksgiving and we’re also collecting items – scarves, mittens, hats, and everything on our Love Tree for Christmas as well. So, even though we were devastated up there by the floods and everything, we continue to go out and do things for the less fortunate up there.”
