On April 17, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 1001 East Oldtown Road for an intoxicated male refusing to leave the property. Upon the officers arrival they made contact with the complainant and her intoxicated son, Eric William Thomas, age 50. While speaking with the complainant, officers were advised that Thomas was no longer welcome inside the residence. Officers informed Thomas numerous times that he needed to leave the property and not to return. Thomas refused several times before walking outside the residence. Once outside, Thomas began to yell creating a disturbance that was witnessed by patrons entering a local convenience store. Thomas eventually walked away from the area but returned walking toward the residence. Just before reaching the residence, Thomas walked onto the property of another local business where he began to urinate in the parking lot. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Thomas was processed and served with several citations before being released.

Charges: Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Obey.

At approximately 1945hrs officers from the Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to S. Central Avenue near Park Street for a disturbance. Upon the arrival of officers they made contact with several people one of which was suffering from a medical emergency. Officers attempted to assist the subject when David Leo Cassady started screaming at officers. They attempted to get Cassady to calm down and leave the area. Cassady refused to leave the area and continued to cause a public disturbance. Officers gave several more warnings but Cassady would not leave area or lower his voice. Cassady was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Cumberland Police Department for processing. He was later released from custody pending trial in District Court.
