On July 13, 2019, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence on Mullen Street for a disturbance. Upon further investigation, officers learned that an assault had taken place at the residence. After speaking with the victim, officers observed visible signs of injury consistent with the statements provided. In a nearby residence, officers located the suspect involved in the incident. The suspect was identified as 28 year old Anthony Michael Ginevan of Cumberland, MD. Ginevan was placed under arrest and transported to the District Court Commissioner’s Office for his initial appearance. Ginevan was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond pending his appearance in District Court.

On February 5th, 2019, Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Baltimore Ave for reported assault. Once on scene, officers contacted the victim of the reported assault. The victim informed officers they had been arguing with Dylan Michael Werner in the home over an issue with family property being exchanged. According to the victim, during the argument, Werner grabbed her and pushed her multiple times into items around the home, causing damage to property inside. The victim also advised she was punched in the face by Werner and choked during the altercation. Due to the victim’s statements and the visible signs of injuries, Werner was placed under arrest and transported to the station. Werner was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance where he was held on $10,000 bond.
