Cumberland Man Arrested on Disorderly Conduct

On Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a S. Johnson Street residence for the report of a male trespassing on the property.  When officers arrived, contact was made with Anthony Scott Armstrong.  He was directed to leave the property at the request of the property owners’.  Armstrong refused to leave and subsequently arrested.  Officers also observed items belonging to Armstrong lying on the ground around him.  He was charged with trespassing, littering, and disorderly conduct.  He was issued criminal citations and released pending trial.

On Monday January 22nd, 2018 the Cumberland City Police responded to Klot’s Mills Apartments on Gay Street for a disturbance complaint.  Upon arrival, contact was made with Marquis L. King who had to be told by officers several times to stop yelling and causing a disturbance.  King continued to yell and was subsequently was told that he was under arrest.  When officers went to place him in custody, he pulled away from officers resisting their attempt to safely place him in custody.  King was then taken to the Cumberland City Police Station for processing and then transported to the District Court Commissioner for a bond review.  He was released on his own person recognizance pending trial.

 

Marquis Lamar King, age; 20, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charges:  Disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, fail to obey a lawful order, and resisting arrest.

Release personal recognizance
