The Maryland Avenue Redevelopment Project, which is expected to feature the Cumberland Gateway commercial center in the city’s Rolling Mill district, first received approval in 2015 and saw a groundbreaking ceremony held in December of 2020. Eight years later, thus far only one building is partially completed. Despite the snails pace, Mayor Ray Morriss believes 2023 will finally be the year that see the project come together…
