Cumberland Police Serve Arrest & Bench Warrants

On Monday, September 30, 2019, the Cumberland Police served two Arrest Warrants on Eric Brewington, age 19, of Cumberland, Maryland. 

The first Warrant stemmed from two separate incidents that occurred at the same business. During the first incident which occurred on September 16th, someone unknown had broke into the business in the 800 block of Mechanic Street.  A second burglary attempt was made again on September 26th at the same business, however; the suspect was unable to gain access but broke the door.  Subsequently, Eric Brewington was identified as the suspect in both incidents and charges were applied for in District Court.  A District Court Arrest Warrant was then issued on September 28, 2019 charging Brewington with burglary 4th degree store, attempted burglary 4th degree store, and two counts of malicious destruction of property less than $1000.  He was awaiting a hearing on this case in District Court at the time of the Press Release.

The second Arrest Warrant served on Brewington was issued on September 25, 2019 through the Allegany County Circuit Court.  The Warrant charged that Brewington violated his conditions of probation.  Brewington was served the Circuit Court Arrest Warrant and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond awaiting a hearing.

 

On Monday, September 30, 2019, the Cumberland City Police served a District Court Bench Warrant on Caylee Meade, age 20, of Cumberland, Maryland.  The Warrant stemmed from her failing to appear in District Court on September 9, 2019 for theft less than $100. She was later taken to District Court for her Initial Appearance and released on her own recognizance pending trial.

On April 29, 2019, the Cumberland Police served an Arrest Warrant on Eric Orndoff, age 47 of Ridgeley, WV. The Warrant stemmed from a January 2019 investigation into a hit and run on Walnut Street in Cumberland, MD. Subsequently, Orndoff was developed as a suspect and charges were applied for in District Court. Orndoff was charged with failing to stop after unattended property damage accident, failing to notify owner of unattended property damage accident, and failing to furnish required information in unattended property damage accident. Orndoff was transported to District Court for his Initial Appearance and released on his own recognizance pending trial.

On April 29, 2019, the Cumberland Police served an Bench Warrant on Larry Rodeheaver, age 38 of Cumberland, MD. The Warrant charged that Rodeheaver was in contempt of court for violating his conditions of probation. Rodeheaver was transported to District Court for his Initial Appearance and held on a $10,000 bond.
