On Sunday December 1, 2019, the Cumberland Police served a Bench Warrant on Lamont Cockrell, age 40 of Cumberland, Maryland. The Warrant stemmed from Cockrell failing to appear in District Court on November 18, 2019 for driving on a suspended license. He was later provided his Initial Appearance and released on his own recognizance pending trial in District Court.

On Thursday, October 4th, 2018 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Mark Edward Whorton Jr. The warrant was issued by Circuit Court when Whorton failed to appear for trial on October 2nd, 2018 on a 1st degree burglary charge. He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.
