On 01/14/18 The Cumberland Police Dept served a Bench Warrant on 46 year old Adrienne Thomas of Cumberland. The warrant stems from Thomas failing to appear in District Court on original traffic charges. Thomas was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was released on her personal recognizance pending her next court appearance.
Arrest Warrant Served
On 01/14/18 The Cumberland Police Dept served an arrest warrant on 33 year old Aaron Racic of Cumberland. The warrant stems from a private citizen filing charges through the District Court alleging that Racic used their credit card without their permission on 01/12/18. As a result Racic was placed under arrest on the warrant and transported to Police Headquarters where he was charged with Theft Scheme $100 to under $1000, 2 counts of Use/disclose credit card belonging to another, and Fraud. Racic was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held without bail pending his next court appearance.
Bench Warrants Served
On 01/14/18 The Cumberland Police Dept served two Bench Warrants on 27 year old Rebecca Zajdel of Cumberland. The warrants stem from Zajdel failing to appear in District Court on two separate cases of Theft. Zajdel was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was held on a total of $4,000 pending her next court appearance in both cases.
Breaking and Entering
On 01/14/18 at 10:55pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 400blk of Walnut St in reference to a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival the victim had the suspect detained in the front of the residence. Investigation revealed that the victim was asleep on their couch when they were awoken to a loud noise from the second story of the residence. They then observed a male subject run through the house and out the back door. The victim chased after the suspect and was able to catch and detain him until the arrival of the police. The suspect attempted to remove an undisclosed amount of currency from the residence which was recovered on the sidewalk. As a result officers placed 24 year old Tyler Cage of Cumberland under arrest and transported him to Police Headquarters where he was charged with First, Third, and Fourth Degree Burglary, Theft under $1500, and Destruction of Property. Cage was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held on a $5,000 bail.

On Thursday, December 21st, 2017 the Cumberland Police arrested Jasmond Jaquan Metheny, age 27, of Cumberland MD. Metheny was arrested on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant for Violation of Probation. He is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

On Thursday, December 21st, 2017 the Cumberland Police arrested Shane Michael Lohr, age 35, of Cumberland MD. Lohr was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Violation of Probation. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and is currently being held on $10,000 bond.

On Thursday, December 21st, 2017 the Cumberland Police arrested Raymond Travis Larson, age 44, of Cumberland, MD. Larson was arrested on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for a court date. Larson is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

On Thursday, December 21st, 2017 the Cumberland Police arrested Chasity Lynn Barrett, age 27, of Cumberland, MD. While on patrol an officer observed Barrett crossing the CSX railroad tracks along Queen City Drive. This area is posted with No Trespassing signs, prohibiting anyone from walking on the tracks. Barrett was arrested and later released on a Criminal Citation.
