On Saturday June 4th, 2022, officers of the Cumberland Police Department served and Arrest Warrant on Jon Christopher Vanetta. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court when Vanetta failed to appear for his trial on June 2nd, 2022. Vanetta was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he awaits his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
Arrest: Jon Christopher Vanetta, age 33, Cumberland Maryland.
Charge: Failure to Appear.
On June 4th, 2022, officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Natarsha Lynn Whaley. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court, stemming from an incident earlier in the day. During the incident officers responded to the 100 block of North Mechanic Street for a reported assault in progress. Upon officer’s arrival observed a victim with obvious injuries. The officers spoke with Whaley who admitted to assaulting the victim. Whaley was subsequently transported to the hospital for an unrelated medical emergency. An application for charges was submitted against Whaley and the Arrest Warrant was issued. Whaley was taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was held on a $1,000 bond.

Charge: Assault Second Degre
On June 4th, 2022, officers of the Cumberland Police Department served three Arrest Warrants on Carissa Paige Ketterman. The Arrest Warrants were issued by the District and Circuit Courts for failure to comply, failing to appear, and violation of probation. Ketterman was taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was held without bond.
Arrest: Carissa Paige Ketterman, age 23, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Failure to Comply, Failing to Appear, Violation of Probation.
