On Monday, April 17th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Reynolds St for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival on scene, officers located two subjects actively involved in a verbal altercation. It was learned that the two subjects had both been drinking and began to argue over domestic type issues. Throughout the investigation, one of the subjects continued to yell and create further disturbances. They were ordered numerous times to cease their disruptive behaviors, but their actions continued. As a result, Elaine Marie Pilkerton, 30, of Cumberland MD, was placed under arrest. She was then issued criminal citations for Disorderly Conduct and Failing to obey an lawful order. She was later released, pending trial in District Court.
