Cumberland Woman Arrested for Disorderly Conduct

On January 2nd, 2020, the Cumberland City Police responded to Allegany County District Court for a female creating a disturbance. Officers on scene observed a female in the hallway in District Court causing a disturbance, yelling and cursing loudly. She was warned multiple times to cease her disruptive behaviors, to which she did not comply. The female continued her behaviors and began cursing at officers. The female, identified as Katelin Marie Moorehead, age 25, of Cumberland MD was subsequently arrested and removed from the building. Moorehead was charged with Disorderly Conduct and releasd, pending trial in District Court.

On 04/02/18 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 100blk of North Mechanic St for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival Officers observed a female subject standing in the travel portion of the roadway not allowing traffic to go by. Officers ordered the subject to get on the sidewalk in which she complied. While speaking with a witness the female suspect identified as 27 year old Rebecca Zajdel of Cumberland began yelling and screaming. After numerous attempts to get Zajdel to lower her voice and to stop screaming with negative results, she was placed under arrest. Zajdel was transported to Police Headquarters where she was issued a Maryland Criminal Citation for Disorderly Conduct and released pending trial in District Court.
