A major Economic Development boost in Western Maryland will begin to come to fruition in just a few weeks. In 2021 the Maryland General Assembly approved a measure to invest $50 million in economic growth in the district over 4 years with$ 20 million arriving in January of 2023. Addressing the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce, Delegate Jason Buckel said it's important to take advantage of this opportunity and for local officials to demonstrate that the investment by the state was a good one.
