Among the highlighted topics at the Legislative Update hosted by the Allegany County Chamber on Thursday was talk about legislation raising the minimum wage to $15/hour. Delegate Jim Hinebaugh explained that one benefit for small businesses was that the tie-in to the Consumer Price Index was stripped out of the bill. However, there will still be financial consequences for the smaller businesses in the state.
