On the date of July 20, 2023, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a video that was posted on Facebook. The video shows a female later identified as Batricia Lynn Nave of Cumberland walking around the Rest Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery taking flags and kicking flowers off of grave sites. As a result of the actions taken in the video, charges were filed at district court. Ms. Naves was issued and served a criminal summons for following charges:

Malicious destruction of property under $1000.00
Disorderly conduct in a cemetery, Destroy Graveyard plants
