Early Morning Fire Damages Friendsville Area Garage

It took a dozen Deep Creek Volunteer Firefighters 15 minutes to put out a garage fire on Cherry Lane near Friendsville at 2:20 AM this morning. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says the fire did $100,000 in damage to the wood framed structure, owned by David and Sandra Friend. The fire marshal is investigating the cause.
