Unless there is a special session, the legislative careers of District 1 Senator George Edwards and Delegate Wendell Beitzel ended at midnight last night with the conclusion of the 2022 session of the Maryland General Assembly.
Late last week, Senate President Bill Ferguson gave Edwards the opportunity to wrap up his 40 years in Annapolis, which included 24 in the House and 16 in the Senate. Edwards told his colleagues that he would miss them personally, but wouldn't miss some of the political back and forth that has become part of the job…
