On September 5th, 2025, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the single block of E. Elder Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported being assaulted by Barbara Webb. A witness at the scene confirmed observing Webb assault the victim several times. Officers observed injuries on the victim that were consistent with the reported assault. Barbara Webb was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. After appearing before a District Court Commissioner, she was released on an unsecured personal bond.
