EmPOWER Maryland Expanding

February 16th, 2024 by WCBC Radio

Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development will increase the number of households served by the EmPOWER Maryland energy efficiency program over the next three years. The program supports repairs and upgrades to limited-income households at no cost that could include insulation, electrical, heating and cooling work, and lighting.  The EmPOWER plan will administer nearly $355 million for retrofits and upgrades.  The program has helped nearly 54,000 households since 2012.
