Energy Sources Available For Crunch

Plans for new transmission lines to get power to areas of the eastern seaboard continue to be worked out, but some say there is ample supplies of energy at hand. Anticipated rate hikes in electricity have turned focus back to the use of fossil fuels, something West Virginia is capitalizing on.  Allegany County Commission President Dave Caporale says it would be great to tap into the area’s sources…

  

“…energy crunch in our state. And you know there’s natural gas in Allegany and Garrett counties that was put on a moratorium probably about four years ago. If you’re looking for energy, you know we don’t use our coal here, I think there’s a lot of unanswered questions that we could beat on right here at home.”
