Minimum relative humidity values will drop to 20-25 percent across the eastern West Virginia panhandle into areas of western Maryland. During the afternoon to early evening, increasing westerly winds are expected with gusts up to 30 to 35 mph. The main overlap between lower humidity and gusty winds will be between 2-5 PM. Fuel moisture will continue to dry through the day given gusty downsloping flow. The combination of decreasing fuel moisture, low relative humidity, and gusty westerly winds will enhance the threat for the spread of wildfires. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged during this time. Please refer to your local burn permitting authority on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution and ensure fire suppression is readily available
