The Thursday farmers market on Cumberland’s downtown mall is expected to move to Canal Place next year as construction work on the Baltimore Street redesign will get underway in earnest. Downtown Development Commission Executive Director Melinda Kelleher said those plans have been discussed in recent meeting with the market’s board. The farmers market begins each year in April and runs through the end of October which is about the same time construction on the renovation is expected to be in full swing in 2023. With an estimated 18 months needed to complete the project, the farmers market schedule and locations could be fluid at the start of 2024 season…
