The Cumberland Times News reports a Berkeley Springs man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday on state Route 522 in Morgan County, according to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
Wesley Todd Mowery, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 12:21 a.m. accident, police said.
The sheriff's office responded to the scene in the 8000 block of Route 522 where Mowery was found unconscious and trapped in the vehicle in a wooded area off the eastern side of the road.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
Berkeley Springs and South Morgan County volunteer fire departments, Morgan County EMS, Reynold's Store (Va.) Volunteer Fire Department and the West Virginia Division of Highways also responded.

WHAG TV reports one person is dead after a three vehicle collision in Berkeley Springs around 4:00 pm on Friday. According to officials the accident took place on Route 9 where one vehicle was turning left into a trailer park while a car behind it swerved into the other lane colliding head on with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The three drivers are in stable condition, however one of the passengers succumbed to their injuries. The driver at fault was driving with a suspended license and is being investigated to see if distracted driving played a role in the crash.
