On Friday June 16 at approximately 11:20 P.M. a motor vehicle collision in the area of the 24,000 block of Westernport Road (Hwy 135) was reported to the Allegany County Joint Communications Center.

Upon arrival, units found that a passenger vehicle was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed, went off the roadway, and collided with a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, Mr. Levi Valentine (31, of Westernport, MD) was pronounced deceased at the scene of the motor vehicle collision.

Westernport Road remained closed for about 3 hours while the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team investigated.
