FLOOD WARNING POSTED FOR HAMPSHIRE COUNTY

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Hampshire County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until midnight EDT.

* At 744 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported numerous roads
  closed due to flooding from earlier heavy rain. Between 1.5 and 3
  inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Slanesville...                     Levels...
Higginsville...                    Largent...
Points...                          Bloomery...

Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
