According to Maryland State Police reports, shortly before 10 p.m. on August 16, 2023, troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack responded to Edinburgh Court in Salisbury, Maryland for the report of an alleged domestic assault. Upon arrival on the scene, troopers made contact with a 71-year-old female, who advised that the suspect had assaulted her. Francis Daniel Jackson, 76, of Salisbury, Maryland is charged with second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and intoxicated endangerment. Jackson was arrested on the scene without incident.
