As a result of the threatening message discovered at Fort Hill High School this morning, students were evacuated to Greenway Avenue Stadium as a precaution while the school was searched by law enforcement officials. Clearing the building for re-entry will take longer than originally anticipated, therefore students will move to Washington Middle School for lunch and dismissal. Parents will be notified via School Messenger of the new dismissal location.

Fort Hill High School has been cleared of any threat by law enforcement officials and bomb-detecting K-9s. Students will return from Washington Middle School and resume a regular schedule for the remainder of the school day. School system administrators will continue to work in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies to investigate the source of the threatening message. Students will bring a letter home from Fort Hill administration with details about today's evacuation.
