GAP Trail Bikers and Hikers Benefit Downtown

November 27th, 2024 by WCBC Radio

Larry Brock of Mountain Maryland Trails spoke with WCBC as he attended the Baltimore Street reopening. Brock talked about the bicyclists that travel through the area on the Great Allegheny Passage. He said in 2022, about 120,000 people used the trail and about a third of them spend money and will be happy to do so in the Baltimore Street corridor…

“It’s neat to talk to them because they all love it. It’s neat, it’s quaint. The people are friendly. Things aren’t terribly expensive. It’s fun to see the joy and happiness of our fun town.”
