Gas Prices Continue To Drop

Pump prices continue to drop and most drivers should pay the lowest gas prices for Labor Day weekend since 2004.  The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline has fallen for 18 consecutive days for a total of 25 cents per gallon.  The average price of $2.42 per gallon marks a savings of nine cents per gallon compared to one week ago, 22 cents per gallon versus one month ago, and $1 per gallon lower than last year's price on this date. Maryland’s average price is five cents lower than the national average at $2.38.  The state average is five cents lower than last week, 24 cents less than a month ago, and a dollar lower compared to last year on this date. Prices in Cumberland are down three cents from a week ago heading into the holiday weekend at $2.43 a gallon.
