Governor Wes Moore has convened his first quarterly meeting of the Governor’s Workforce Development Board. The 59-member board serves as the governor’s chief strategy and policy making body to promote economic opportunity. During the meeting, 11 newly-appointed members of the board were introduced by the Governor. They are responsible for developing policies and strategies to form a coordinated workforce system from a variety of education, employment, and training programs. The board brings focuses various workforce development partners and stakeholders on a properly prepared workforce that meets the current and future demands of Maryland employer.
