Governor Moore’s budget if approved will see a funding boost for Allegany County school system

Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s budget released in January named public education one of his top priorities- and if the General Assembly approves that budget as is- Allegany County’s school system will see a funding boost. The governor reaffirmed his commitment to continue funding the Blueprint for Maryland's Future, which he expects will go a long way toward improving public education. For starters, he plans to spend $8.8 billion on K-12 education. The governor then moved to explain why he's making such a large investment in education.
