A state grant totaling more than $95,000 will be used to significantly improve security in the downtown business district.
The receipt of the state safety grant was announced during this week’s Cumberland Economic Development Corporation meeting with executive director Matt Miller indicating that the funds would be used to cover the costs of cameras, computer equipment, monitors, communication equipment and video recorders.
