On Sunday, Officers of the Hagerstown Police Department were asked to check on the welfare of an individual in the 400 block of McDowell Ave.
On arrival at the residence, officers discovered an apparent homicide victim, later identified as 57 year old Renee Shoemaker. Criminal Investigators and Forensic Crime Scene Investigators believed it was a domestic related homicide and later Sunday, Cleo Brown was taken into custody in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is awaiting extradition to Maryland.
