Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, in ceremonies Monday afternoon, signed the $1.5-billion COVID-19 stimulus bill. The Recovery for the Economy, Livelihoods, Industries, Entrepreneurs, and Families (RELIEF) Act includes stimulus payments of up to $750 for 400,000 low income Marylanders who qualify for the state's Earned Income Tax Credit. It also includes $300 million in aid to small businesses. Lawmakers added a one-time payment of $1,000 for those who have applied for unemployment but who have not had their claims approved. Senate aides say that group totals 39,000 people. Governor Hogan praised Democrats and Republicans for coming together so quickly to pass this legislation…
