Allegany County Emergency Management reports that units have been dispatched to a Columbia Street address for reports of a house fire. Additional details as they are made available.

Fire damaged a residence at 12114 Shadoe Hollow Road in Bowman’s Addition on Thursday. The fire, reported to the Allegany County 911 Center just before 3 p.m., reportedly started in the basement and extended throughout the home. The Cumberland Times News reports at least 10 fire and ambulance companies from Allegany and Mineral County, West Virginia, were called to the scene. Fire officials reported the fire out by 3:35.
The Maryland State Fire Marshals Office was investigating the cause.
