Five Allegany County students will attend the 41st annual Hugh O’Brian Youth Maryland Leadership Seminar in June. Representatives are Miss Audrey Rader for Allegany High School, Miss Ciara Ross and Miss Rory Martz for Fort Hill, Miss Holly Levitt for Mountain Ridge, and Katie Kutcher of Bishop Walsh. The seminar brings together student Ambassadors with leaders in business, government, and education, giving them a chance to discuss relevant issues including global education, volunteerism, media literacy, entrepreneurship, gratitude, leadership and motivation. Following the seminar, Ambassadors will return to their communities and perform at least 100 hours of community service within the year.
