On Monday, April 30, 2012, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a threatening message was discovered on a desk at Fort Hill High School. The discovery of the message led to an immediate investigation by school officials and law enforcement officers who were able to determine that it was not a credible threat prior to beginning evacuation procedures. A student was apprehended and is being charged by the Cumberland City Police Department with Bomb Threat and related charges and will be disciplined in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy on student discipline.

On Tuesday, March 06, 2012, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a threatening message was discovered in a bathroom at Fort Hill High School. The discovery of the message led to an immediate investigation by school officials and law enforcement officers who were able to determine that it was not a credible threat prior to beginning evacuation procedures. The investigation also revealed that the threat posed no imminent danger to students and staff. A student was apprehended and is being charged with Bomb Threat and related charges and will be disciplined in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy on student discipline.
